A Wedding In Santa Barbara

I am SO over winter! Enough snow, enough single digit temps and my bare legs miss seeing the sun. Three days in LA/Santa Barbara in the high 70s was not nearly enough and just teased me enough that I can’t wait for our first beach vacation {not until Memorial Day week!}

The reason we were in Santa Barbara to begin with was for my friend Jill’s wedding. She and Jason got married at the gorgeous Villa Verano. The grounds were unbelievably lush and the views were incomparable. The welcome/rehearsal dinner was at Wine Cask and seriously both places had the most delicious food.

Now let’s talk outfit. I unearthed this lace DVF dress that hasn’t seen the light of day in five years and when I tried it on, not only did it fit {!!!}, but it fit better than it did the first time around. And how are you liking my new moto? The thing about beautiful weather is that once the sun sets, temps cool down, so I needed to sport a jacket to stay warm, despite my crazy dancing and really using the dance floor as my personal cardio studio. I digress…

This moto was a serious score from Reiss a month or so ago. We had just gotten back from HK and I was leaving Fekkai after my styling session and Sam and I thought we would go across the street to Reiss to check out their sale. I was looking for a dress for Jill’s wedding {I was suffering and uninspired} and I saw this coat and it had everything I wanted! Tufted shoulders, asymmetrical zip, hardware details and it fit shoulder to hip length which was great. The plus? The quilted oxblood interior. The second plus? It was $456 from $695 and then it went even more on sale {!!!} to $350. Um hello present to myself!
