{Reading Corner} Where’d You Go Bernadette

Where'd You Go Bernadette

Before Memorial Day we unofficially started a book-share at work, well really I brought in a few books I’d been reading lately and lent them out in case anyone wanted some long weekend reading. One of the girls in turn brought in Where’d You Go, Bernadette when I said I’d been wanting to read it. I’m a fast reader, but this book I devoured in just a weekend, it was that good.

Yes Bernadette is a bit self absorbed, and a little whacky, but once you accept that she’s unique, her family accepts her and her quirks, it’s a really fun story of a young girl looking to understand her mother and along the way discovers herself a little more.

A must-read for any beach trip or break from reality you may need this summer.

  • I read this last summer and really enjoyed it! I just finished The Royal We and The Knockoff. Both are perfect summer beach reads if you’re looking for another book!

    • Thanks for the recommendations! I was thinking about The Knockoff and now I’m definitely going to pick it up.
