In a Dark, Dark Wood // Didn’t love this. It had an interesting story line, the kind of convoluted tale that slowly reveals details of the characters’ past and finally in a flash of understanding, everything comes together in the end. But for some reason it just didn’t flow for me and frankly in some places it just felt a little forced and weird.
Disclaimer // Read this one for book club and we all felt that there was not one character that was sympathetic. The old man who seems like a bad guy loses his convictions so fast at the end and is just a little looney. The woman is just plain self absorbed and throw in the druggie son, it’s just blah.
Three Wishes // A light-hearted and fun read, triplets go through life-altering events through the course of the year. It’s a really fun story that shows despite how well you know people, siblings included, there’s always something that can surprise you about them.
One Plus One // I love JoJo Moyes. In a predictable plot of a somewhat self-absorbed guy and a damsel in distress woman, they face a seemingly insurmountable challenge together and end up falling in love.
