The Importance of Disconnecting

floral and stripe mixing

I’m taking this week between jobs to really disconnect, clear out my head and take some quality “me” time. Everyone’s been asking what I’m doing with my time off and really it’s quite simple; working out {barre class every day}, and taking care of random housekeeping things that never seem to get done while working full time and commuting. Add in a couple of #treatyoself goodies and that’s the week!

First on my list to tackle this week was combining my 401ks. Thankfully Levo and Tasting Table used the same firm so those were combined when I opened one at TT, but that still left the one I had at eFinancialCareers and the one I have at BNY Mellon. Well I’ve taken steps to migrate the TT/Levo one and the eFianncialCareers one, but I probably won’t get to the BNY Mellon one this week since I don’t have any of my account or login information for that one. But baby steps right?

Second on my list was I desperately needed a haircut. Amazingly the three women I’ve gone to in the area all aren’t available and weren’t when I tried earlier in July either. So I had to pull the trigger and see someone new and I love my new ‘do. What do you think?

The rest is all about a little R&R. I’m getting a 2 hr massage today, I need a mani/pedi tomorrow and I’m catching up on a lot of sleep, getting in a work out a day and doing a LOT of reading.

What do you do to decompress?
